2010 Classes
Session 2: March 8 - April 24 (7 weeks)
Session 3: May 3 - June 20 (6 weeks)

CAC CLASS: Art Of The Mosaic Various mosaic techniques are taught utilizing a wide range of materials, grouts and adhesives. Students work on projects of their choice. This class is suitable for beginners and more advanced students. Class fee includes use of nippers, grout, glue and some tile. The first day of class will be a discussion of tools, substrates, adhesives and designs.

CAC CLASS: Mosaic Sculpture
Learn how to build a simple metal sculpture to use as a base for your mosaic. In this class, we will work with two designs based on a lily or a hibiscus. A supply list will be provided before class. This class was created to fabricate sculptures for display at the 2010 State Fair of Texas. You are invited to join us.

2010 VECAS MOSAIC CLASSES:
Fridays
9:30AM - 12:30PM
Learn the art of mosaic making. Classes will cover types of materials, substrates, adhesives, tools and what to use indoors or out. Beginner to advanced students are welcome. The first day of class is discussion and outline for the course. 2010 brings a new level of mosaic design to the classes at VECAS where our focus will be on creating outdoor installations for the concrete posts around the school. You will learn the ins and outs of creating and installing mosaics for exterior surfaces. Choose to work on a project of your own or on one that will be a permanent display for the school.
