2010
This year, Doran Studio presents mosaic sculptures designed as hibiscus and lilies. You will discover the beauty of these artistic creations at the Grand Avenue entrance to the State Fair of Texas. The mosaic flowers are on display in the Moonflower Garden bed near the Old Mill Restaurant. Each flower is sculpted by one of Katrina Doran's students following her designs. Classes were held at the Creative Arts Center of Dallas on Sunday afternoons throughout the early part of the year to provide instruction on creating armatures for mosaic sculpture. Each flower design, mosaic and scupture is unique.
